QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

What is the RSVP deadline?
The deadline to RSVP is January 10th. We have a strict deadline with vendors and others, and for this reason, it is not a flexible date. If we haven't heard from you by January 10th, we will unfortunately have to mark you as 'regretfully decline.'
Is San Miguel safe?
Absolutely yes!
We’ve done research, spoken to people who live in San Miguel and in Mexico, and have had friends who traveled there recently. All have confirmed that it is a safe location and that the route from QRO or CDMX to San Miguel is safe.
We just came back from this amazing destination and our time there was MAGICAL and we felt very at home and calm. San Miguel is a World Heritage Site and one of the most popular destinations in Mexico. It is also a very attractive area for American/European expats and digital nomads.
What is the timeline for the wedding?
March 14, 2025: Welcome Cocktail at Tres Marias Rooftop
March 15, 2025: Wedding Day at Hacienda San Luis Gonzaga
March 16, 2024: Post-wedding brunch, location TBD
What is the attire?
Friday: Semi-casual cocktail for our Welcome Cocktail
Saturday: Black-tie for the Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Sunday: Casual for our Farewell Brunch.
Can I bring a +1?
Unfortunately, no.
We want our wedding to be an intimate affair that
we share with our loved ones, and have addressed our invitations accordingly.
Can I bring my kids?
While we know how hard it can be to leave the little ones at home, we won't be accommodating children at our wedding. It is an adults-only event.
How do we get to San Miguel de Allende?
You have a few options:
1. You can fly into Mexico City and then travel to San Miguel de Allende.
This may be a cheaper flight option but
will be more inconvenient in that the drive is
4 hours from Mexico City to San Miguel.
2. You can fly into Queretaro and drive into San Miguel.
It is a 1.5-hour drive.
You can also schedule a ride-share service
through Bajio Go for $30 USD/person one-way.
For more information please go to the "Travel & Stay" page.
Where should we stay?
If you want to make the most out of your trip to San Miguel we recommend staying somewhere around the center of the town and tour the city.
Hotels: We have some open room blocks in a couple of hotels listed on our "Travel & stay" page, along with some discount codes.
AirBnB is also available in San Miguel de Allende and then take a taxi or Uber to the venue.
Another option is to find an AirBnB in Fraccionamiento Zirándaro, which is the gated neighborhood where our venue is. That way, the wedding venue will be more accessible to you, and if you want to go to downtown San Miguel de Allende it will take only a 10-minute ride.
When should I fly in & out of San Miguel?
We recommend arriving on Thursday and leaving on Sunday evening or Monday morning. If you want to make a full trip of it, we highly recommend flying into Mexico City the weekend prior and ending with San Miguel de Allende!
When should I buy my flight tickets?
In terms of cost, the results are mixed. For international travel, some websites say that you should buy 6 months ahead of time and others say it's okay to wait 2-3 months before the trip. We recommend buying ahead of time and saving yourself some mental space.
It all depends on what will work best for you.
When should I book lodging?
Book your lodging around the same time that you book your flight.
See our suggestions for which Airbnb or hotels you should book on our "Travel & Stay" page.
Will you be blocking out rooms?
We have open room blocks at a couple of different hotels.
Please check our "Travel" section for the names and the discount code.
What will the weather be like in March?
Historically, March is considered one of the best months to visit San Miguel. The temperature during the day will be between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit, and will drop to 50-60 degrees in the evening. Make sure to bring a light sweater!
Do I need a Visa for Mexico?
It depends on what passport you're traveling with.
-
American Passport: no, you are able to just book the plane ticket and fly in without any added documentation needed.
-
Bulgarian Passport: no, you are able to just book the plane ticket and fly in without any added documentation needed.
-
